Brief presentation of the rich diversity of impressive natural attractions and beautiful landscapes, rich cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria and the variety of resorts.

Bulgaria is like the Garden of Eden - in each season you can enjoy a spectacular view. Its great nature has no equal anywhere in the world, and there are attractions on every kilometer. Bulgaria is situated at the crossroads linking East and West for millennium.The country is a home for many civilizations, including the Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Slavs, Bulgarians and Ottomans. The country has many museums, monasteries and other historic landmarks.

The main ski resorts are Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo, a major sea resorts - Sozopol, Nessebar, Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Albena. Rila, Pirin, Vitosha, Stara Planina and Rhodope mountains attract hikers and climbers.

Eleven natural parks, three national parks, reserves and nearly 90 hundred protected areas - Bulgaria is the most diverse in biological terms country in Europe. 20% of the territory included in the European ecological network NATURA 2000.

Nature parks are among the most attractive tourist sites - you can see nature in its pure form, protection and accessible - they were built hundreds of miles of trails leading to waterfalls, caves and ravines, wildlife is close and exhilarating.

Bulgarian Black Sea coast is 378 km long and includes hundreds of the most diverse beaches. The coastline ranges from rocky to high and wide with fine, golden sand. The sunny summer, the warm sea water, the broad and cosy beaches, breezy parks, restored hotels and the good service attract millions of tourists from all over the world every year. A great number of resort centers are situated in towns, villages and regions along the coast of the Black Sea - Rusalka, Kavarna, Balchik, Albena, Kranevo, Golden sands, st. Constantine, Varna, Chayka, Kamchiya, Byala, Obzor, Elenite, St. Vlas, Sunny beach, Nessebar, Bourgas, Pomorie, Sozopol, Djuni, Primorsko, Kiten, Ahtopol.

Bulgarian cultural and historical monuments are highly attractive value. Such are the monasteries, fortresses, churches, carvings, architectural and ethnographic museums and nature reserves, tombs and other archaeological finds. Some of them are attended mainly by specialists / tombs, Boyana Church, the Ivanovo Rock Monasteries, the Madara Horseman, Thracian burial mounds and settlements, etc... An object of mass visits are Shipka, Old Plovdiv, Rila Monastery, Melnik, Borovets, Nessebar, Zheravna, Sozopol, Bansko, Bachkovo Monastery, Troyan Monastery, Cross Forest, Shiroka Luka, Preslav, Madara, Samokov, Tryavna, Kotel, Arbanassi and others.

Accommodation in hotels is still prefered than accommodation in villas and guest houses. Although traditional large hotels with their hundreds of rooms will always be kept up, last years significantly increased demand for so-called apart - hotels that have all the conditions of - their larger counterparts, but offer accommodation conditions - close to home comfort.

The most attractive museum exhibitions are Varna Golden treasure, Valchedramskoto treasure, Military History Museum in Sofia, the National History Museum, Naval Museum in Varna and others.
