Telephone companies
There are three telephone companies in Bulgaria. They provide telephone and internet services, as landlines (landlines phone, "local phone number") and wired internet, as well as cell phone services (mobile phones, handy, GSM). Local phone numbers at each phone company have same phone code. For example, our phone number +359 52 627251 is included into Mtel telephone network. The area code of Varna "52" is the same at Vivacom, Mtel and Globul. Mobile phones of course don't need area code. Regularly, the phone number in Bulgaria looks like "052/627251" or "00359 52 627251" according to European style.
"0" - long distance prefix.
"00" - international call prefix.
There is no unified telephone inquiry service in Bulgaria. Each telephone company has its own telephone inquiry service, but for the whole country:)
For all cities and regions in Bulgaria there is single telephone inquiry service for each telephone company. There are no more urban telephone inquiry services in Bulgaria.
